The Nagpur International Marathon is getting bigger and better with each passing year. The second edition witnessed the participation of 1 lakh people and now the organizers are claiming that on Sunday it will break all previous participation records. The Nagpur Marathon is the only marathon in the world which is not marketed commercially. If more than 1 lakh people turn up on Sunday morning, it will create a world record in terms of maximum participation.
Sunday could also witness a new meet record in timings too. If all goes well, there is every chance that the full and half marathon winners will better the best timings registered in Nagpur in the previous two editions. Experts say four factors will contribute in athletes coming up with better performances. The first will be the weather. Compared to last two years, the temperature this year will be slightly less. The cool breeze in the morning hours will help athletes which will also help them register their best timings.
